NewBridge Pairings

The 12th annual NewBridge Bank jamboree will be held Friday, Aug. 13, with the Western Triad Football Scrimmages being held at West Davidson's Glosson Stadium.

Admission is $5 and children under 6 get in free. Gates open at 5 p.m. All proceeds are used to benefit the athletic departments of the participating schools.

"The Jamboree exemplifies NewBridge Bank's long-standing commitment to youth and education," said Robin Hager, Executive Vice President and Chief Resource Officer at NewBridge Bank. "In the past 11 years, the event has raised and awarded a record $350,000 to our local high schools."  Scrimmages start at 6 p.m. with Ledford vs. East Forsyth and Central Davidson vs. Grimsley. At 7 p.m., it's Southern Guilford vs. Lexington and Ragsdale vs. North Davidson. Ledford vs. Grimsley and West Stokes vs. Central Davidson go at 8 p.m. Lexington takes on East Forsyth and Ragsdale faces West Davidson at 9 p.m. Finally, at 10 p.m., North Davidson takes on Southern Guilford and West Stokes plays West Davidson.  The same schools' junior varsity teams will have a separate scrimmage at Tyro Middle School.  East Davidson and South Davidson are playing in the Eastern Triad Football Scrimmages at Rockingham County High School in Reidsville.  The Eagles take on Morehead at 6 p.m. and Rockingham at 8 p.m. South Davidson faces McMichael at 7 p.m. and Rockingham at 9 p.m.
